More nice ox-bows!

Following on from yesterday's posting, here are some more good examples of ox bow lakes close toMark's logged position this morning. I have always thought it curious that ox bows are such a 'classic' feature of river scenery - they appear in so many textbooks and crop up in so many exams - yet I have rarely seen one at close quarters! I think the explanation is that they tend to occur in areas which are very flat and so you just don't get a view of them from ground level.
