Mark set off from the Arc de Triomphe this morning and is now well to the north east of Paris.
The photo above shows the BBC cameraman whom we met last week taking some last minute shots before Mark embarked on his epic cycle. If you click on the photo, it will link you to the website where there will now be regular up-dates of his progress.One of the features of the website is a Google-based map where you can track exactly where Mark is. Here is his campsite on day one. It's amazing to think that in a couple of months we will be able to see where he has stopped for the night in Iran.
